So I currently work for my older sister as a Child Care provider. I work with the kids as well as do administrative work. Do I like what I do...Nope.. I LOVE IT. working with children is the greatest joy. Currently we have all 2 years, you would think it would be a nightmare. What do they call it "Terrible Twos". Not here it is an adventure everyday, they are little sponges who say the funniest things. So currently We are talking about Winter wonderland. We are learning about snow, the Arctic, hibernation, and Winter animals. Today we are going to make Snow balls and I wanted to share the recipe with you so that if you have a daycare or little ones at home you could try it..:
SNOWBALL RECIPE
Ingredients
- Popcorn ( i used a microwave bag)
- 6 tablespoons of butter
- 5 cups of miniature marshmallows
Directions
- Pop popcorn Sit to the side (make sure all kernels are popped)
- Melt butter over low heat
- add miniature marshmallows to butter and cook until melted, stir constantly
- and mixture over the popcorn and mix slightly
- allow mixture to cool slightly ( cool enough so that the kids can handle it)
- coat the children's hand with butter or non stick spray
- give them the mixture and allow them to form into a ball
- Eat and Enjoy!!!
A simple recipe but a fun one! The kids will love the stickyness and will have fun snacking as they make their snowballs
