I LOVE IT. working with children is the greatest joy. Currently we have all 2 years, you would think it would be a nightmare. What do they call it "Terrible Twos". Not here it is an adventure everyday, they are little sponges who say the funniest things. So currently We are talking about Winter wonderland. We are learning about snow, the Arctic, hibernation, and Winter animals. Today we are going to make Snow balls and I wanted to share the recipe with you so that if you have a daycare or little ones at home you could try it..:

Terrific Two

I have a two year old son (Nic) who has the personality of about 5 two year olds. He is smart, witty and happy. Everyday he says something that makes you laugh today he said to me "wait a minute"....lol seriously!? well the night before I needed him to wait so I said wait a minute...well now the mocking begins. I say time for lunch he says wait a minute..Time for bed he says wait a minute... Well that phase got old realy quick, It was cute to see him use it in context but frustrating for him to not hurry up and get ready for bed.

My two year old is full of energy and he MAKES you play with him.."C'mon mommy.C'mon daddy". I have read Old Hat, New Hat a thousand times and Fish Kisses at least 999 times.( I cant complain he has a passion to read, so I will foster that as best I can) I can't say no, some would say that is spoiling I just call it motherhood. He will jump in your arms and say swing please. He will place his lips on your face and say kiss please. If you start tickling him it is at least a 15 min activity he will get on your lap and just start laughing saying, tickle, tickle. If you can imagine he is full of good energy which helps the day go by so much easier

Is he exhausting? Yes !
Is he exciting ? Yes!
What can I say he is terrific, Some days are overwhelm most days are just wonderful.

Lastly...

Motherhood Tips:

(disclaimer: this is what works for my son and I. If you try and it fails try some thing else EVERY baby is different and well thats the special part, oh and post it someone may benefit)

So when it is book time Nic Wants me to read the same book 10 times in a row. It is boring, so I make it fun for both, I read to him the first time, then I ask him to read to me. The next time we take turns reading. I like to have props (i.e Hats, for Old hat new Hat) something to mix it up.
So when doing something over and over, try and spice it up, add a prop, bring in musical instrument, add movement..Most important have fun..
